IMO SECURITY NETWORK /AMNESTY YOUTHS CLASH CLAIMS LIVES

IMO SECURITY NETWORK/AMNESTY YOUTHS CLASH CLAIMS TWO LIVES.

*Several Vehicles At The Security Agency's Office Set Ablaze By Rampaging Youths …

What started as a minor scuffle between agents of Imo State Security Network and one of the repented militants from the oil producing LGA of Ohaji/Egbema has degenerated to loss of lives and destructions of properties worth millions of Naira.

Trouble has started when a street hawker near Control Roundabout Owerri who happened to be one of the youths recently granted Amnesty by Imo State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Owelle Anayo Rochas Okorocha and another pedestrian had engaged in some fisticuffs attracting the attention of Imo State Security Network.

In the melee that followed, one of the agents of the Security Network was alleged to have accidentally fired his riffle which hit the Amnesty youth resulting in instant death.

Paschal Kelechi's blog learnt that the Amnesty Youths from Ohaji/Egbema upon hearing the tragic news of violent death of their brother and comrade wasted no time in mobilizing and storming the Owerri/Aba Road Office of Imo State Security Network where some rampage and mob action by the irate youths led to another unfortunate loss of life with dozens of people sustaining various degree of injuries aswell as destructions and setting ablaze of many vehicles within the office premises.

Since Imo State Security Network shares same office complex with Imo State Environmental Transformation Commission (ENTRACO) it was not immediately clear if any property belonging to the latter was also affected in the mayhem. Sources close to the General Manager of ENTRACO informed our correspondent  that the towing van belonging to that Commission was burnt and some of their offices pillaged.

Leaving a trail of destruction behind, the irate youths were said to have gone to Imo State General Hospital Umuguma, where it was alleged that they had politely demanded to see the remains of their fallen brother deposited in hospital morgue. The refusal of the Management of the hospital to grant them their wish was said to have triggered another round of mayhem. Several staff and patients of the hospital were said to have been severely beaten and injured and over eight vehicles within the hospital premises set ablaze in the senseless violence.

Picture shows irate youths during the rampage.

IGBOs WILL NOT FORGET BIAFRA ; DOZIE IKEDIFE TELLS BUHARI

Igbo will not forget Biafra, Ikedife tells Buhari;
…President afraid of Biafra ---IPOB

Former president general of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Dr. Dozie Ikedife has described as daydream, the thinking by nobody including president Muhammadu Buhari, that Ndigbo would forget or jettison the self determination struggle.
Consequenctly, he has called on President Bahuri, who @ the just concluded United Nations (UN) General Assembly said he would not allow referendum on Biafra, to discard the thought that Igbo would be in a hurry to forget Biafra.
Speaking to newsmen yesterday in Nnewi Anambra state, Ikedife, who is the deputy chairman of the Supreme Council of the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB), restated that nothing would make Ndigbo forget the 30-month civil war experience and what they suffered in the hands of Nigerian government.
"How can we forget Biafra when the life of every Igbo man was reduced to worth only 20 pounds, and some of us refused to collect our own till date ?"
How can we forget Biafra when the reconciliation, rehabilitation and reintegration were declared after the war and the first step was to go to Lagos and rebuild the Third Mainland Bridge ?
"How can we forget Biafra when up till this day, the second Niger Bridge has not been constructed ?"
"How can we forget Biafra when for 30 months our territory was locked and we watched our children die of starvation ?" Tell us how we can forget Biafra ? Tell President Buhari that we will never forget Biafra !
Ikedife insisted that Biafra would never be forgotten even if all the people that experienced the war died, stressing that story would continue to be told from generation to generation.
He described last Saturday's sit-at -home declared by IPOB as a huge success.
Ikedife said people obeyed the order, "not for fear of being molested, but to express their genuine quest and demand for self determination ".
Meanwhile, IPOB has said President Buhari was afraid of a Republica of Biafra.
IPOB, in a statement signed by Victoria. O C. Agangan, said the president, by his comment that he would not allow referendum on Biafra, exposed his fears and insisted that it was no longer a fable, but a reality, that "Biafra is not far-fetched "
"How can Buhari not see that, even in chains and cell, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu controls the oars ?" He (Kanu) clearly has the people's mandate and there is nothing you can do about it.
"He has led by example and has won over the heart of millions all over the world, including non -Biafrans "
This was evident in the way and manner the Nnamdi Kanu campaign was launched all over the world, with Biafrans at home obeying the sit -at -home order.
The trigger -happy soldiers were disappointed as they were denied blood to spill away as usual on September 23, 2016, the statement said.

SOME FACTS YOU MAY NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT NIGERIA

You may already know that Nigeria is the
largest black nation in the world and the
most populous nation in Africa.

You may already know that Nigeria has
great dependency on crude oil, plus all the other opinions of David Cameron.

Here are 20 unpopular facts about Nigeria.

1. Are you aware that all over the world
Nigerians are setting the pace and becoming the standard by which others measure themselves? Do you know?

2. In the US, Nigerians are the most educated immigrant community. Type it into Google and you’ll see it. Not one of the most educated, the most educated.

3. 60% of Nigerians in the US have college degrees. This is far above the American national average of 30%.

4. Nigerians in US are one of the highest earners, typically earning 25% more than
the median US income of $53k.

5. In Ivy League schools in Europe and America, Nigerians routinely outperform their peers from other nations.

6. A Nigerian family, The Imafidon family, have officially been named the smartest family in the UK.

7. The designer of the famous car, Chevrolet Volt, Jelani Aliyu, is a super
talented Nigerian from Sokoto State.

8. The World’s fastest supercomputer was
designed by a world renowned inventor
and scientist, Philip Emeagwali, a full-
blown Nigerian whose patency was awarded in 2015. This means Nigeria has the patency to the world’s fastest computer: a Black Nigerian.

9. The wealthiest Black man and woman on earth are Nigerians, Aliko Dangote and Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija. Both have no trace of criminal record of any kind.

10. South Africa couldn’t have ended apartheid & achieved Black rule if not for the leadership role Nigeria played.

11. Of the 3 South African Presidents who
ruled after apartheid, two of them once
lived in Nigeria under asylum. Both Nelson Mandela (60s) and Thabo Mbeki (70s) lived in Nigeria before becoming President of South Africa. We gave financial support, human support, boycotted an Olympics and
our politicians, musicians and activists campaigned relentlessly.

12. Nigeria spent over $3 Billion and lost
hundreds of soldiers to end the wars in both Liberia and Sierra Leone which the world ignored because they have no oil.

13. When there was a coup in São Tomé and Príncipe in 2003, Nigeria restored the
elected President back to power.

14. Before there were street lights in European cities, ancient Benin kingdom had street lights fueled by palm oil.

15. 500 years ago, Benin casted metal alloys to create magnificent art including the world famous Queen Ida Mask.

16. Amina was a warrior queen who ruled Zaria Emirate in Kaduna state, Northwestern Nigeria 400 years ago in 1610. Google and see what she means to Africa.

17. We gave monetary gifts to Ireland during our oil boom and built a statue for
France free of charge. We are not poor blacks. Nigeria is rich and don’t be lied to.

18. The first television station in Africa was NTA Ibadan (1960) long before Ireland has their RTE station.

=========
Wherever you look in this great country, Nigeria, heroes abound both now and in our recent and ancient past.

If all you do is listen to mainstream Western media, you’ll not get the full picture of your Nigerian heritage.

Do not listen to any leader who says Nigerians are criminals, no matter who he is, or his height and position.

We’re not a nation of scammers, drugs & corruption, but a people with a verifiable track record of greatness.

==========
Here is what CNN, BBC, Aljezeera and western media will not tell you about Nigerians:

19. On the 7th May, 2016 at Howard University in Washington D.C history was
made. Out of 96 graduating Doctor of Pharmacy candidates, 43 of them were Nigerians and out of 27 awards given, 16 went to Nigerians.
The entire world still envies our uniqueness as a NATION with living together despite our ethnic diversity. One single country with over 400 languages.

They will only tell you how Nigerians are scammers and cheats, how Nigerians are into drugs overseas et al.

If you don’t blow your trumpet, no one
will blow it for you.

#VIVA_NAIJA!!

20. There are over 180,000,000 Nigerians
world over and only less than 250,000 of this figure have traceable criminal records.

This is about 0.14% of our entire national population in the last 20 years: nothing close to 1%. Shame on global media.

Listen Nigeria, don't let anybody woo you
into believing that you are a criminal just because you are a Nigerian.

Nigerians are NOT criminals.

You are NOT a criminal.

You are topnotch; second to none around the world.

Note : these ones are not included in the Sports exploits.

BUHARI CONFESSES ! I WILL ALLOW BIAFRA TO GO BUT NOT WITH NIGER -DELTA ---BUHARI

In a hush-hush meeting allegedly held by some of the Northern leaders with President Muhammadu Buhari early this month, the President revealed to the Northern Leaders that serious pressure is being mounted on him, to obey the United Nations Charter on Self-Determination, and unconditionally release the detained leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.
According to Buhari, he was also advised to desist from further violation of Kanu's fundamental Human Rights alongside Rights of other Biafra agitators held in different Nigerian prisons, and to also allow for a UN monitored referendum to test if the people of Biafra wish to continue with Nigeria or not.
He also told them that international community said that they have enough evidence that he (Buhari) and his government is violating the fundamental Human Rights of Biafrans by using brutal force on Biafrans during peaceful protests and rallies.
He also told the Northern Leaders that if nothing is done urgently, that one day, the North will wake up and lose all they asset of Nigeria to Biafra, that there may soon be a UN statement on issue of Biafra and the violation of their fundamental Human Rights, which may result to a call for Biafra referendum.
According to the source, after their deliberations, Buhari told the Northern leaders that he will only allow Biafra to go on one condition, and that the condition according to him, is that the Niger Delta will be carved out-to remain in Nigeria, then only the Igbo-speaking States of South-East will be allowed to go as Biafra.
Also, that all the national assets such as refineries, sea ports, airports, telecomm, etc, belonging to federal government, especially those located within the Biafra territory, must be completely sold off before the referendum would be allowed to take place.

MILITANCY ! IMO STATE, NOW ONE -FAMILY GOV'T AS OKOROCHA APPOINTS HIS WIFE AMNESTY COMMITTEE CHAIRPERSON.

SEPTEMBER 26, 2016.

Following the surrendering of arms and embracing of peace by Avenger militants fighting in the oil producing areas of Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta, the state governor, Rochas Okorocha, has inaugurated the Amnesty Committee, and two others, including the Committee on the Review of the Activities and Infrastructural Development of state owned higher institutions, and the Technical Committee for the take-off of the Eastern Palm University, Ogboko, Imo State. The committee members have also been briefed by the governor on their terms of reference. To demonstrate the importance of the amnesty committee, the governor appointed the first lady of the state, Nneoma Nkechi Okorocha as chairman, while the Transition Committee chairmen of the oil producing local government areas of Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta, the Assembly members from the two state constituencies, the managing director of Imo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (ISOPADEC) and the Special Assistant to the Governor on Niger Delta, are members. *Imo state Governor, Okorocha In the terms of reference to the amnesty committee, the governor charged them to come up with programmes and ideas that would ensure the sustenance of the peace recently restored in the oil producing areas of Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta following the positive response of the Avenger militants fighting in the areas to the governor’s call on them to put down their guns and embrace peace. The governor equally asked the committee to address all the issues the repented militants had raised when they surrendered, and that with the revelations from the changed militants, it was discovered that the oil companies operating in the areas have been igniting some of these troubles for their own selfish reasons. The committee would therefore define what should be the role of the oil companies in the areas and to make them stop igniting crises in the areas. It was also discovered from the testimonies of the born-again militants that some of the traditional rulers from the areas are also culpable considering their roles in the crisis that enveloped the oil producing areas, equally for their own selfish reasons. For that reason, the governor cancelled all the memorandum of understanding (MoU) the communities or traditional rulers must have entered into with the oil companies, with the governor also directing that the government must be aware of any such MoU from now onward. The Amnesty committee was also asked to write to the oil companies not to deal with the communities or traditional rulers again without the approval of the State Government, with the Committee also directed to meet with all the relevant bodies and persons. The Amnesty Committee was also directed to work towards ensuring that the names of the militants who surrendered their guns and embraced peace are removed from any record or list of militants, organize medical tours in the oil producing areas and ensure special employment of one thousand Ohaji/Egbema and Oguta Youths into the State Civil Service. The Amnesty committee has three months to submit its report. The Speaker of the Imo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Acho Ihim is the chairman of the committee on the Review of the Activities and Infrastructural Development on state owned Higher Institutions, with fifteen other members. And the committee has been asked to review the movement of certain faculties and departments of the Imo State University to Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala campus of the University. The committee was also charged to reconsider the location of the Imo State University Teaching Hospital (IMSUTH) and its viability in Orlu and the location of the main campus of the University in the State Capital, with the committee expected to find out whether IMSUTH won’t be more useful to our people if located in Owerri. And whether it is not more advisable to take the main campus of IMSU to a more serene location suitable for university education and where it would have the opportunity of expanding as time goes on. The committee has been given three weeks to submit its report. The Technical Committee for the Take-off of the Eastern Palm University at Ogboko built through Public and Private Partnership (PPP) has Ambassador Nonye Rajis Opara as chairman and the committee has six other members. The work of the committee is to ensure the smooth take-off of the university. The committee would also go for churches or organizations that were given money and lands by the State Government to encourage them establish private universities, but uptil now such organizations have not done anything to that effect. The governor charged the members of the committees to demonstrate high level of patriotism in carrying out these assignments, in the overall interest of the state and her people.

WHAT A PIECE OF ADVICE ! THERE'S NO COMPETITION IN LIFE --- PETE EDOCHI

After Secondary School...
Some of your classmates have gone out of the country, some are now graduates, some has gotten married, some has given birth, some are dead don't forget that too, some haven't even gained admission into the tertiary institution, but you know that feeling when you meet your classmate, and it seems like he/she has reached his dreams and you're not yet close to yours?
Yea, somehow feels like jealousy, its a normal feeling. But, You must not regret your life. We all are different and our path to greatness is not same in distance. Some might reach before you, some might reach after you but whatever level you are presently, please keep trying to break limitations and move further. Celebrate the success of others, it's an application for yours. Your friend buys a car now, be happy with him/her. Remember when you get yours, theirs wouldn't be the latest again. Life is not by competition, if not we all Will be born into one type of family, one religion and same everything. The passion in you, never quench. The desire in you, keep it burning. what you pass through, write it down because one day the world will be ready to read it.
There's no height you cannot attain, just believe, define goals and recognize distractions, spend time teaching yourself, because the things that mainly take people to the top, is the things they devoted time to develop. Don't be intimidated by your fellow's success, the sky is too wide that the birds can fly without touching themselves.

FLASH BACK ! BUHARI'S PRESIDENTIAL CAMPAIGN SPEECH IN LONDON, 2015

Flashback .

Buhari: Hear him speak in London as the APC Presidential Candidate
:

This Was Buhari In 2015...

"One of the major killers of our economy, apart from corruption, is waste,” Buhari said. “Let me give an instance: Presently, there are more than 6 aircraft in the presidential fleet. What do you call that? Billions of naira is budgeted every year for the maintenance of these aircraft, not to talk of operational costs and other expenses. “You may want to ask what a Nigerian President is doing with so many aircraft when the Prime Minister of Britain flies around using the same public aircraft like an ordinary Briton. Go and check and compare with that of any developed country in the world: the office of the Nigerian President is a very expensive one in spite of our high level of poverty, lack, and joblessness. Despite all this, you still find a Nigerian minister spending about N10 billion to charter an aircraft for just one year. “Now, for me, when we come into office, all this waste will be blocked and properly channelled into our economy. We intend, for instance, to bring back our national carrier, the Nigerian Airways. We shall do this by bringing all the aircraft in the presidential fleet into the Nigerian Airways and within a year increase the fleet to about 20. “What is the difference between me and those who elected us to represent them? Absolutely nothing! Why should Nigerian president not fly with other Nigerian public? Why do I need to embark on a foreign trip as a president with a huge crowd with public fund? Why do I need to go for foreign medical trip if we cannot make our hospital functional? Why do we need to send our children to school abroad if we cannot develop our universities to compete with the foreign ones? This is not my struggle. It is our collective efforts to save Nigeria from those who have failed us for 16 years."

 - Muhammadu Buhari, APC Presidential Candidate, February, 2015, London, United Kingdom.

BOMBSHELL !YOU CAN'T HOLD BIAFRANS TOO LONG; ALLOW PEOPLE TO CHOOSE WHERE THEY BELONG TO ! EVANG. AGBO BLASTS BUHARI

*BOMBSHELL: YOU CAN’T HOLD BIAFRANS FOR TOO LONG, NIGERIA’S FOUNDATION IS FRAUDULENT, DECEPTIVE AND ROCKING, ALLOW PEOPLE TO CHOOSE WHERE TO BELONG— Evang. Agbo*

Sunday, 18th September, 2016

Albeit, he may be wrong about his perception of IPOB under the able leadership of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu as an organization of people or group of Biafrans, but Evangelist JOSEPH AGBO, the visionary of the pot of oil ministry, as he calls it, and a lecturer of philosophy at the Ebonyi State University, EBSU, Abakaliki, is one person who cannot be waved or shoved aside when it comes to history and all the nitty-gritties of the foundation of Nigeria and even that of the western world.
In this exclusive, yet very interesting and educative interview conducted at Urban Radio’s studio Enugu, on the program ‘Urban Parliament’ and supervised by CHUKWUEMEKA CHIMERUE of Biafra Writers, Evang. Agbo went down memory lane, telling us about how he thinks it all started, how we found ourselves into this mess and the circumstances surrounding the emergence and rise of IPOB on the path to reclaim their pride and nation, Biafra, which according to him, is a very big ‘Ijele’ masquerade that existed many years ago before the amalgamation that brought us where we are today.
The resource person in the studio who spoke on the topic, “IPOB and Federal government,” also faulted the foundational structure of Nigeria as a sovereign entity, the illegal arrest and continued detention of the IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu which he described as a very big mistake and then proffered solutions on how best to tackle these problems through first and foremost, he said, is the release of the IPOB leader, dialogue and eventually referendum, amongst other things, insisting that you cannot hold a people for too long against their wish.
Enjoy...

*First of all, let me ask you this, how did we get here at a time where we have someone being locked up for close to a year now, if not more, and we have witnessed protests everywhere in the country and people being shot by security agencies, we have also heard factions brought up from the IPOB, TRIPOB and the other one; RENIPOB or so. So, with all these, can you give us a history from the start of how we get to where we are today?*

Thank you. Well, I think the issues are quite... I would like to make a distinction here, the distinction between the IPOB that is an organization, that is a group and then the IPOB that is a people, there is a group that emerged a couple of years ago by that name being led by Nnamdi Kanu and of course, there is also the Indigenous People of Biafra as a people, as a place, so we’re going to look at this matter from both angles because there’s a people called the Indigenous Peoples of Biafra and there’s an organization called Indigenous People of Biafra, that is known simply as IPOB.
And so, IPOB emerged... I think it’s certain from... I want to state clearly that am not a card carrying member of IPOB; the organization but I am from the people, you know, the indigenous people of Biafra. I live in that territory which had existed 500 years before Nigeria came into existence in 1914. In the Portuguese map of 1492 that is produced, map of Africa, there’s a vast area named Biafra in that map. And it’s right there in the archives for those who cares about history.
And the question you’ve asked is that how did we get here, how did we get to the point where a man is locked up for over a year now and there is going back and forth, the judiciary appears to be confused about what to do about him, today they grant him bail, tomorrow they rearrest him, you know, all manner of legal acrobatics have being going on and then how did we get here... We got here because there’s a lot of injustices in the land.
I have always said that Nigeria is the only country that places peace before justice. You know, the last part of the second stanza of the Nigerian anthem says “we want to build a nation where peace and justice shall reign.” But you know you can never have it the other way round. If you want peace, you must have justice, so you can’t put the cart before the horse. So a lot of injustices within the land and I want to first of all state that Nigeria came into existence as a federation. The founding fathers of Nigeria took about 10 years, 1950 to 1960, fashioning out a federal constitution because the peoples within the territory called Nigeria are so diverse; culturally diverse, religiously diverse, traditionally diverse, linguistically diverse, and what have you. And then they said, look, if we have to really stay together, then we must fashion out a federation that looks like that of the United States. You know, in United States, it’s difficult sometimes... I was saying the other day, I don’t know whether there’s somebody called an American-America in America. It’s either you’re an African-America or a European-American, a black-American, you know, all those kinds of things like German-America, a Jewish-America, etc.
And they said, look, if we must co-exist, because, in fact, most of the States in Africa, practically all the States in Africa came as a result of the Berlin Conference of 1884, 85, and so the conditions and circumstances that were necessary for the emergence of the modern nation States did not exist in Africa when these States came into existence, they were just shared out like cakes. You know Achebe said that they were shared out like “pieces of chocolate in a birthday party,” and Britain got the territory that is known today as Nigeria.
And they said okay no problem, if it was a problem, if our marriage was forced or done without our consent, can we do something about it? And so the leaders of Nigeria started doing something about it from 1950, you remember the Macpherson Constitution of 1951, the Lyttleton Constitution in 1954 up to the independence constitution of 1960. They fashioned a federal constitution, by 1960, Nigeria actually had four different constitutions; one federal constitution and three regional constitutions because these regions now constituted a federating unit.
You can’t have a federation without a federating unit. So they now constituted a federating unit. But sometime in February 1963, there was a demonstration in the Mid-West; what later became the Mid-Western region. There was a demonstration, you know, the minorities in the then Mid-western Nigeria began to ask, they said, look, the Urhobos, the Itshekiris, the Western Igbos, the Isokos, the Ijaws, were saying, that look, “we have to have a sense of belonging, all these big tribes appears to be swallowing us up.”
And the then Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa appointed Edward Longe, a Briton, to supervise a referendum. And that referendum held on 13th July 1963, an overwhelming 89 percent voted ‘Yes’ and after that vote, they took it to the National Assembly and the Mid-western region was created.
So, by 1963, we had five constitutions; one federal constitution and four regional constitutions. Now, they formed the constituting units just like in the United States in July, 1776. On 14th July in Philadelphia, the 13 colonies that met at the second continental Congress meeting decided that it was time to rebel against the British throne, so they drew up a Charter of existence, “so let us form a United States of America.” Now, they said it has to be a federation, and a federation, no constituting unit should dominate the other. That’s usually how it is, and they cede some power to the center and that’s how Nigeria came into existence.
You know, a lot of things happened which we may require a day or to begin to analyze, you know, between that 1960 to 1966 when the coup that took place and all the other issues that happened that now led to the war of 1967 to 1970. During that war, Gowon promulgated a petroleum decree of 1969 which changed the derivation formula of revenue to allocation and I think that’s where the problem began.
The center, Nigeria, now became a centralized state because when Aguiyi Ironsi passed, promulgated decree Number 34 on 24th of May, 1966 to unify Nigeria in the line with military structure, all the regions especially the North, protested, they said, look we are a federation, let the regions stand the way they are but Aguiyi Ironsi said, “let us have a united Nigeria,” but they said ‘No’ and the response was five days later, 29th May.
When the pogrom began and so by the time Gowon passed out in 1969, everything else changed and then all the resources that belongs to each of the regions now became owned by the Federal government. I think that’s where all these problems began and we now began to have overtime systemic injustices. Overtime, people who are supposed to own their thing(resources), they now became Federal government own and then created a structure whereby every month people goes to Abuja and collects money after 30 days and when they comes back, they share it with their brothers and Nigerians had never really made a constitution and that’s part of the problem because the constitution we use to give governors and president so much power that it becomes very difficult for resources to trickle down to the people who need these resources.

*Okay, let’s fast forward also to today, tell us about how IPOB as a group started, at least, to much that you know, you’ve earlier stated that you’re not a member of IPOB, but can you tell us a little bit about how it started and what led to it being formed in the first place?*

Now, in 2007, the United Nations passed a resolution, that resolution was called “The Rights of the Indigenous Peoples” of the world to determine their destiny, it’s UN resolution 2007, you can check it out.
I can’t remember exactly the year IPOB came into existence but am sure it’s not more than five years and then it’s as a result of some of the issues and challenges that MASSOB had. They said, look, MASSOB appears to be operating like an exclusive group, so let us have a group that would really belong to the indigenous peoples of Biafra no matter where you are because the original Biafra that was announced on May 30th, 1967, of course, included those in Delta, those in what we call today South-South, you know, the East central/Eastern region of that time which includes today’s Rivers state, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa and Cross-rivers as well. And so the IPOB essentially emerged in order to insist on that right which the United Nations had granted every indigenous peoples of the world.
They said, you have the right to determine your own destiny and the Biafrans are a people; I said before that they had existed, they have been on the map for over 500 years before Nigeria came into existence and so IPOB now emerged and said look, allow the Biafrans to determine their own destinies. Let them make a choice on what they really want, do they want to belong to Nigeria or do they want to stay on their own. They want to be given a chance to decide and it’s a right which the United Nations had granted and which also the United Nations in their wisdom, knew that this is a natural right.
Am an evangelist, if you read Genesis chapter 1 from verse 26, where God said “let us make man in our own image and let us have dominion over...” if you read it down it says “over the fishes of the sea, over the birds in the air, over the animals in the field,” but you didn’t see “have dominion over man on earth, No.” Man is not designed to have dominion over another man, you can have dominion over animals, over birds, over some parts of nature, but you cannot have dominion over another man, so if you try to dominate man for too long, it won’t last.
The Soviet Union came into existence by fort in 1917 when Vladimir Lenin came secretly back from exile in Switzerland and hijacked a meeting in Moscow; a meeting of the all people’s Soviet and what they did was to promulgate a lot of decrees and within one month, a flood of decrees formed the Soviet Union and in 1940, Latvia, Estonia and Lithuania were forced into the Union and that Soviet Union; the largest country in the world, existed for 72 years and when Mikhail Gorbachev came, he said, this country is existing fraudulently, it’s existing in deception. A lot of things were being hidden, they didn’t want people to know that there’s a serious crises rocking, hunger in the Soviet Union, so he said, look, I want to do glasnost and perestroika(This is a kind of a reform introduced by Gorbachev which eventually spiraled out of control and led the Soviet Union to collapse), which is restructuring and openness, he wants to open the society. And by the time he opened the society and people saw the decay, people said it was an agency thing that broke up the Soviet Union, no, you can’t break up a people except they’re willing to break themselves, otherwise it’s not cheap.
So when you package a falsehood, something you don’t want to give a foundation, the thing is bound to have a problem and the Soviet Union had that problem, Czechoslovakia had the same problem, Yugoslavia had the same problem and so IPOB said “we want to determine our own destiny, we have the right to determine our own destiny, we are Biafrans and if we are going to be part of Nigeria, why don’t you allow us to vote, there’s a referendum, a referendum which created the Mid-western region, so why can’t we allow the same referendum now? It was a referendum that created South Sudan, a referendum pulled Britain out of the EU and this is 2016, so why are we having double standard?” You apply some rules in some places and you don’t apply some rules in some other places.
I heard somebody speaking on CNN the other day and he was saying..., as a matter of fact, some people came from the part of American House of Representatives, they met us this year, they met some of the organizations that I belong to, not IPOB, they came and said, look, this thing that is spreading all over the world about IPOB... so they came to find out and we told them our own side of the story. So that was what led to the IPOB and they said look, we can’t take up arms, we want to be nonviolent, we want to ask for our right, just like Martin Luther used to do those days in early 60s in the United States, when he finished preaching, he mobilized Americans... and it’s that right that he demanded in late 50s and early 60s that led to a black man sitting today at the revered office of the President of the United States of America, so that’s basically what IPOB wanted and of course, just like I said in one other program, it’s like the Biafrans are like the Jews that were in Egypt in slavery, so each time they demand to leave, Pharaoh will say ‘No,’ otherwise, it shouldn’t be a problem that somebody said, I want to build my house on the right side and another person said my own house will be built on the left side, so why should there be a problem about it?

*Why do you think that the Federal government has decided to ignore the UN Resolution that gives indigenous peoples the right to self-determination or decide to be on their own and the second question is, do you believe that the whole of Igbo people wants to be on their own, or is it just a faction? I mean, do you believe that every Igbo man or woman is wanting to also belong to this new entity called Biafra or is it just a faction?*

Thank you, there are questions that I can only hazard a guess.
The first one, why do I think that the federal government appears to be ignoring the resolutions of the United Nations of 2007. Well, I think, there are two reasons, number one is economic, the other one appears to be religious, I may be wrong, but I have being on this struggle, studying it since 1993 after the annulment of the June 12 election with Anthony Enahoro and some other people who had asked for... We belonged to a movement then known as “Movement for New Nigeria,” and we’ve looked at the future, we’ve looked at the situations and said look, when a house has a foundational issue, you don’t need to patch it and begin to paint it, carefully look for a carpenter who will climb up and remove some very useful zinc and useful wood and pack them very well and then do a bricklayer’s job and re-lay a foundation and build again, that’s what we were saying that time in Movement for New Nigeria. We said look, Nigeria appears to be collapsing and so there’s an economic path, I know from my studies, Nigeria has up to 606 oil wells. We’re exploiting about 95 oil wells and some two, three years ago, Senator Ita Enang stood on the floor of the Senate and said that 83.5 percent of Nigeria’s oil wells are in the hands of the North-West and this is the mainstay of Nigeria’s economy. I also remember in 1944 when the West Africa student’s union came to the North and asked them to support a Constitutional reform, so that Nigeria will have independence, and a united Nigeria, you know, all those kinds of talks. So they issued a communiqué and it read in part, “Holding this country together is not possible except by the religion of the prophet, if they want political unity, let them accept our religion.” Now, I was also listening to one Mallam sometimes ago, I think it was on this station and he was saying that when a Fulani man moves, he moves with his cattle and his religion, if I heard him very well. Now I think there’s a religious angle in all of this. There is an allegation that there’s a plan to islamize the whole country and so if you let this people be, two things will happen, one, the 83 point something percent of the oil wells that they have, they have to lose it naturally, two, the people that they may want to islamize may now want to stand on their own because I remember the popular statement made by Uthman Dan Fodio; that he’s going to run with the Qur'an until he dumps it in the Atlantic. The Atlantic is the South and of course, I remember in 1960 the pronouncements by Sir Ahmadu Bello, the then leader of the NPC, eleven days after Nigeria’s independence, he said and I quote, “the new nation called Nigeria shall be an estate of our great grandfather, Uthman Dan Fodio, we must ruthlessly prevent any change of power, we will use the minority in the North as willing tools and the South as a conquered territory, we will never allow them to have control over their future or resources, we will never allow them to rule over us.” Now, if you put these two statements made by Bello and Dan-Fodio together, I don’t see any other reason why somebody... Like if you put me in this studio, I didn’t enter this studio by force, right? I entered on my own, and if I say I want to go and you said no, I can’t go and that I must keep talking here, till the year 3000, well, I’ll attempt to see whether I can talk till the year 3000 but of course, somewhere along the line, am going to break down and I’ll pretend as if everything is alright but I’ll be beating to see whether I can see a razor blade, if I get that razor blade, I’ll be using it to cut these walls(pointing at the studio walls) gradually to see whether I can open up a place of escape, that’s what has happened.
And so I think there’s basically this concept that the South is a conquered territory and there’s no need to allow them to go, that’s what am thinking and that’s why I said it will be difficult for me to imagine what the federal government is thinking, I can only hazard a guess from the facts that are before me. So why would a people say they want to stay on their own and you said ‘No?’
Staying together is not compulsory... For example, if you say we must stay together, then let’s come to the table, what do I bring to the table, what do I take out of the table, and that’s what people who talk about restructuring, I have a problem with it. I said, one quarter of me belongs to restructuring and three quarters belongs to the other side which is “to your tents oh! Israel” why did I give one quarter a chance? It's because, if you want to restructure, they won’t allow you. If you restructure and it’s not fiscally, you know, you generate your own resources and pay tax to the centre, if they won’t allow you, then what are you restructuring? It’s not like creating another lame state in the Southeast that you now so it’s restructuring. Are going to remove other zones that has seven and bring it to the Southeast or are you still going to leave that one at seven? Are you still going to leave states like Kano at 44 local governments and Lagos with 20, with the same population? Kano and Jigawa has 71 local governments, the whole local governments in the Southeast is 95. So what type of restructuring are they talking about? Are you going to let it happen?
So these are the reasons why restructuring tend not to work...you know, some 20 years ago, I had written an academic article and I suggested that Nigeria should go off oil exploration for 30 years, that we are producing lazy leadership, leaders who just wait for 30 days and they’ll go and collect money and share it with their brothers.
According to the constitution, it gives a governor power to spend money for 6 months that’s on section 121 and 127, section 91 and 92, gives the president power to spend money for six months. I have not seen that kind of thing in any constitution anywhere in the world, I also study constitutions too. So you see, that at the end of the day...,I think it’s because of these two reasons that the desire to get slaves that will provide...
Just like Lord Lewis Vernon Harcourt; the one whose name we named after Port Harcourt said in 1913 that “we’ve found a southern lady of means(referring to the Southern Nigeria), that is going to get married to the North.”
He said that he wished that the union will prosper and that it would release the British government from the treasury-- the money they’re spending on the treasury. And so the South appears to be “the Southern lady of means married to the North,” and to let them go is like letting the Israelites go from Egypt.
Now to the second question, the one you had asked, if I believe everybody wants to belong to Biafra. Well, the people that I’ve lived with, within the Southeast here, that I’ve lived with and done research for the past 10 years, that’s why I have thrown this as a challenge, I also told those people who came from American house of representatives, I said, I challenge you people, if you think this is a figment of some people’s imagination or some people who don’t have work to do, why don’t you grant a referendum, you’ll see what will happen, that’s the only way to answer that questions... (gets interrupted)

*But why am asking is because I need to know if you think, you know, from what IPOB is saying...(interrupted)*

...No, from me, personally, I think that there’s an overwhelming... We’ll even have more than the 89 percent that voted to create the Mid-Western region, I tell you, we’ll have more than 89 percent because a referendum... That’s why in the Mid-Western referendum, it was announced on February and the referendum took place 5 months later which was on July 13th 1963, so 5 months was given to sensitize the people. So if you give us one month to sensitize the Igbos, please allow me to speak for the Igbos as an example, about whether they prefer freedom or whether they want to be president of Nigeria, am sure they’ll vote 90 percent, that they want to be free on their own if the Nigerian state won’t allow them to express themselves.
I have always asked this question, have Nigeria asked how Biafra survived for 3 and half years in spite of the blockage, why is it that they have refused to tap the grease that these people(Biafrans) used? They could have used it to change the entire Nigeria and rid the entire Africa but I think the Soviet Union that time said they didn’t want another Japan in Africa.

*Now, in your own terms or opinion, do you think the federal government is handling the case of Nnamdi Kanu well enough?*

They’re not even handling it well,... you’re talking about well enough, they’re not handling it well at all because it is difficult to find out, you know, they’re just accusing him, they’re mostly trumped up charges, if you look at it very closely, they’re trumped up charges and somethings beats my imagination, you don’t call an American president and he begins to tell you about one man, one terrorist, assuming it’s even a terrorist that was arrested, he will not be able to discuss it, he’ll tell you to go and meet the legal authorities.
The way the president, Muhammadu Buhari use to talk about it as if he’s the one that really went to arrest him and that the young man(Nnamdi Kanu) is locked behind his house or room, you know, it leaves much to be desired, so that if you don’t suspect something, you’ll be forced to begin to suspect that there is some kind of foul play going on somewhere.

*And where do you feel that they’ve got it all wrong?*

Well, they said the man... They’ve accused him of all kinds of things which they have not being able to prove. Once in a while the courts have actually granted him bail and he was rearrested and that’s one place they got it wrong. And you keep seeing judges washing their hands off, it’s like they’re afraid, people are afraid, you know, the word ‘Biafra’ number one, is a big ‘Ijele’ masquerade, people just don’t want to face it and two, Nnamdi Kanu appears to be a very courageous young man.
You know, the way you operate may not be the way I operate, some people. Some people may be very brazenly, while some people may be more diplomatic but you know, I think the young man must have used too much diplomacy and it appears not to be working so he... So they got it wrong by not allowing the court to decide his fate. Because when Nnamdi Kanu was arrested, the first person that tweeted was Vladimir Putin, the Russian president and so on, they called him a self-determination activist, that’s huge if you ask me. For the Russian president to say that Nnamdi Kanu is a self-determination activist, it means the world is watching and I don’t think that arresting a man... Maybe if you arrest him, you’ll say he is running an illegal radio, the radio station is not located in Nigeria, you arrest him for abusing people, well, you charge him for libel or something, I don’t know but libel is not enough to lock someone for this long, that’s where I think it’s wrong about it and everyone now knows that it’s because he’s talking about Biafra that it’s like that. I’ve been talking about Biafra before Nnamdi Kanu, so I don’t know what the young man has done specifically. They’re too many other people who are talking about Biafra, if you begin to arrest all of us, they’ll probably not be enough jail or prison in the whole world to accommodate us because they’re hundred million Igbo people scattered all over the world.

*So what next, I mean, what do you feel is the way forward?*

Simple, two things basically, let the young man be released from detention because right now he’s not a prisoner and he’s not directly or exactly facing trial. Release the young man and IPOB people appears to be waiting, you know, they have killed so many of them and they’re not afraid to die again because they said since we have only flag, we have only our hand, we’re just holding the Bible, and they’re shooting us, they can go ahead. The blood of the innocent people use to speak from the group so we don’t want people to be shot or killed anymore. So let them release the young man.
Two, if you think that what the IPOB is doing is not true, invite them to a dialogue, let’s sit down and talk. Ask them what they want and do not say you cannot give them, don’t create a ‘no-go-area’. That's why we spent 7 billion saying that we’re organizing a National Conference and the 7 billion went down the drain. Before even Muhammadu Buhari took over, Shehu Sani had told Jonathan, while the election has just being declared victory, he said, carry the Conference documents/reports out of Aso-rock, in order words, that thing was just a jamboree, you just wasted time.
But Jonathan was like, look, the Nigerian amalgamation expired on 31st December, 2013 because the amalgamation was for the first hundred years, so Nigeria has actually expired... (Interrupted)

*So was that the main focus of the National Conference?*

...Yes, yes, no, that was the reason why the National Conference had to come that time.
That’s not the focus. The focus was now the amalgamation has expired, let’s sit down at the table and decide a Charter of existence. I said it in the beginning that America, certain things can’t happen in America today, why? Because the America is a product of the Charter; there was an agreement... (Interrupted)

*...What am trying to find out is when the idea of setting up a National conference and pulling people together from all over Nigeria; scholars, professors, past governors and all that, you know, was it because then President Jonathan wanted to figure out or wanted to understand about the amalgamation and the Charter, and the things you’re talking about now or were there other reasons behind setting up the conference and then these are one of the things that was talked about?*

...No, no, no! You see, there’s a foundation for something, and there’s something you build on it. The main reason behind the National conference was the fact that technically speaking, that there was an amalgamation that was said to be...
You know, some of our lieutenants, some of our partners went to British medium and they formed an amalgamation document and it is stated clearly in that document that it’s for the first hundred years.
So, Jonathan appears to be aware of it, I don’t know, but I believe he knew about it because if you look at the speed with which the preparation for the conference was going, you didn’t need to take too many years to prepare for it because he was aware of the public opinion, things that were being said in the media, he knew that technically, Nigeria ceased on December 31st 2013, so he wanted us to sit down and said okay, let us draw a new Charter of existence, of relationship, and some people didn’t want it, they said there should be a ‘no-go-area’ you know, what led me to this was, he was asking me what do we do, I said, we need to dialogue and in that dialogue there should be no ‘no-go-area’, they shouldn’t create a ‘no-go-area’. When people say Nigeria’s unity is nonnegotiable; you’re saying technically that Nigeria’s unity is not unity, that’s the implication. Go to the dictionary, check the word “unity” and check the word “negotiate”. If Nigeria’s unity is nonnegotiable, it means they’re saying that Nigeria’s unity is not to be agreed upon, it’s actually to be disagreed upon. It’s simply a paradox!
When our leaders make that statement, they make it without thinking what they’re saying. You’re saying that we should unite and you’re saying that we should not unite.

*Some people in the South-South has been rumoured to have excluded themselves from the Biafran nation, I mean, we’ve a particular ethnic group in Rivers state, the Ogonis, who had actually agitated for a separate entity. What do you have to say about this, how can this be handled?*

You see, I was addressing some people on this issue some two weeks ago and I was saying, look, there’s this false impression that the Southeast actually needs the South-South to survive and that is why we keep bringing them into the Biafran discussion but it’s not true. The reason actually is that the South-South are originally part of Biafra, so it is left for them to withdraw. For example, the leader of the Bilie Human Rights Initiatives (Bilie is Biafran Liberation in Exile), is from Akwa Ibom state, so it’s not true that... Just like you find some people here who may not agree with the Biafran cause even in the Southeast here, that is the same way you find some people in the South-South who do not agree. So it’s not really or exactly the truth.
Either in the old Biafra of 1967 to 70 or in the current situation, there are people... I went to Portharcourt the other day and I discovered that a lot of people, even in the buses, are discussing Biafra and they are not as it were, Igbos, you understand?
And so it’s just some people, you know, there was a day I was on radio again and somebody was protesting and said, look, we should not include them in Biafra, I think the person was calling from Cross-rivers or Akwa Ibom and another person called from Delta or was it from Edo state and said look, that the Igbos should not be talking as if they are the only ones who owns Biafra, that they are also part of it.
And I said okay, you see now the problem! So that’s why a referendum will solve the problem. That’s why I keep saying, give people the chance to vote, when they vote, they’ll decide what they want.

*Evang. Agbo, so what are your final words Sir?*

I think I’ll conclude by saying that there’s no point holding a people, a human being cannot be held by force. If you must exist together, it must be in agreement.
In 2015, Obama said he’s going to admit Syrian refugees to America. In 48 hours, 13 states told Obama “no problem, admit Syrian refugees to America, the only problem is that they won’t come to our states.” Why? Because it’s a federation, they formed the United States, the United States didn’t form them.
So, we should re-federate, if we don’t re-federate, if we don’t restructure..., am talking both as a man of God and as a prognostic social scientist who has studied the situation.
This ship; the Nigerian ship seriously is rocking, from the North to the West to the East and to the South, everywhere is rocking, even Abuja is rocking. Why? We have refused to talk as if it is human beings we are dealing with. We’re making it look as if we are shapeless amoebas. It is not so, human beings cannot be held against their will for too long.

*...Thank you very much Sir for having a time with us.*

ARSENE WENGER HAILS NEARLY PERFECT ARSENAL TEAM AS THEY CLIMB 3rd POSITION …

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger said his team had come close to perfection after watching them mark his 20th anniversary with a 3-0 win over Chelsea on Saturday.
Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil scored in the first 40 minutes as Arsenal claimed their biggest win over Chelsea since April 1997.
It was Arsenal's first win over Chelsea in the league since October 2011 and it saw them climb to third place in the Premier League table, while Antonio Conte's beaten visitors slipped to eighth.
"It was an outstanding team performance," Wenger told the BBC at the Emirates Stadium.
"We played with spirit and collective pace and movement. Always in a positive and committed team way.
"Ideally you want the perfect game and you never get it. We got nearly the perfect first half and that is not bad.
"Football doesn't care for history and the anniversaries, just the result on the day. Today we had a good performance."
The only negative for Wenger, who was appointed Arsenal manager in September 1996, was a first-half knee injury sustained by midfielder Francis Coquelin, which saw Granit Xhaka come on.
"We lost Coquelin and Xhaka came on and straight away he is at the level of the game," Wenger told Sky Sports.
"It (Coquelin) is a knee problem – the same problem as last year. I hope he is not out as long as last year."
For Chelsea manager Conte, it was a third successive league game without victory following a 2-2 draw at Swansea City and a 2-1 home defeat by Liverpool.
"I think that we didn't have the right attitude from the first minute," Conte said.
"After today we are thinking we must work a lot because we are a great team only on paper.
"It is always a team problem rather than individuals. When nothing works it is very hard for a player to play well.
"We have not got the balance and now is the moment to consider everything. It is incredible to concede three goals.

EKEUKWU OWERRI BATTLE : ROCHAS OKOROCHA SENDS BILL TO IMHA…

Apparently determined to relocate and destroy
Ekeukwu Owerri market, Governor Rochas
Okorocha has sent an executive Bill to the State
House of Assembly to enact a law for this
purpose. The Bill, which was brought before the
lawmakers by the member for Aboh Nbaise state constituency, Chief Mike Iheanaetu, is cited as “A Bill for a law to further enhance the status of Owerri Capital City, otherwise to be known as Imo my pride law of 2016, and for other related purposes”. The Bill “provides for the abolishing of the establishment of any form of motor park at any spot, less than four kilometres from th Government House of Imo State”. It is also the intention of the state government that “all markets, as defined in this law, shall be sited at least, at a location four kilometres from the Government House of Imo State”. While a provision was canvassed for the
constitution of a mobile court to be manned by a magistrate, penalties were equally prescribed in the proposed law. “It shall be an offence to build and operate any market, as defined in this law, at any distance of less than four kilometres from the Imo State Government House. Defaulters shall be prosecuted and if found guilty, shall be liable to six months imprisonment or a fine of N150,000 or both”, the Bill prescribed. Similarly, a section of the law prescribed that “it is an offence to erect shanty within the Owerri Capital Territory”, and defaulters shall be liable to three months imprisonment or N100,000 fine or
both. “Failure to comply with directives of Imo State Government to renovate a dilapidated structure within Owerri Capital City, shall be an offence and if defaulted, such building shall be sealed by the Imo State Government”, the Bill prescribed. However, in a subtle way of not making the law to look as if it was principally targeted at Ekeukwu Owerri, government made three other additions. “No erection of any structure considered a shanty within the Owerri Capital Territory. All drainage shall be kept clean and made to allow free flow of drainage water at all times by all residents”, the Bill prescribed. Another arm of this Bill, which an Owerri indigene called “the diversionary tactics of the state government, is the prescribed decent look of houses in the city”. The Bill states: “Houses within the Owerri Capital
City must maintain a decent look, in compliance to the directive from the Imo State Government, from time to time”. Vanguard recalls that the indigenes of Owerri are
currently having a running battle with the state
government over the planned relocation.

IBOP's ONE-DAY STAY -INDOORS HOLDS NIGERIA SPELLBOUND AS STREETS AND MARKETS ARE SHUT DOWN …

Situation Report From Nnewi. The Banks are not working here in Nnewi, markets especially the Big Nkwo and Spare Parts didn't open. Shops on popular roads like Owerri, Nnobi, Old Onitsha & Edo-Ezemewi/Bank mostly are closed.  Meanwhile, the popular River Niger bridge that is known for traffic congestion was seen empty.
Those that opened was having one door closed in readiness for any eventuality. IPOB succeeded in this one, I said it abinitio that illiteracy is a whole of disease, Buhari is making the nobodies popular by awakening the sleeping dogs. See Nnamdi Kanu turning a super Hero within months. That even if he dies today, he has made a mark in history.

The same is the story of Onitsha, the second largest market didn't open, banks and other businesses along awka rd, nkpor, 33, upper iweka and so on did not open. I really love today's action. It is very significant, worthy of praise.

MUSA ABDALLA WRITES AN OPEN LETTER TO BIAFRANS ; THE NORTHERNERS VOTED BUHARI BECAUSE WE NEEDED POWER ; BIAFRA MUST COME, ISHA ALLAH

[9/14, 06:19] Pst Grace 3: *Shocking confession by Musa Abdullah on Biafra, N'Delta*

As Received (11/SEP/2016)

Good Evening Biafrans,

My name is Musa Abdullah from Kano state. I studied at Lagos state University and presently working with Kano University of Science and Technology, Wudil.

Due to my education, I have been enlightened as to the happenings in Nigeria. We in the North voted for Buhari because he is our brother.

We wanted power to return to the North. We knew he cannot fix anything in Nigeria. In our mosques, they always taught us to make sure we remove that infidel call Jonathan.

We were meant to hate Jonathan with our spirit, soul and body. Infact, Igbos living in the North were very very lucky. They escaped death by the whiskers through the victory of Baba.

Had Baba lost, my brothers where already on standby waiting for instructions to lynch any pig from the South.

I was personally in the situation room as things unfold. I felt for the Igbos then. I really pitied them. I knew that my brothers in the North had been brain washed but I dare not speak.

I sighed in relief when Baba was declared the winner and my brothers where told to relax, that they should go to the streets and celebrate.

That was how the bloodshed was averted to the glory of Allah. I knew something was really wrong with my brothers.

Kano gave Buhari the highest vote. It was massively rigged in his favour. That was why the INEC officer in charge of Kano was burnt alive with his family after the election to cover up the rigging. I wept for my people.

Now what are we seeing? Baba has abandoned us. My brothers in the North are dying every day of hunger. Prices of things are so high, we can't even eat three square meal a day.

My Northern Elders are not worried. They are only after power remaining in the North. Not only that, my concern now is what is about to come. They have already planned on how to deal with the Niger Deltans.

Of course you are aware that all the military personnel and weapons have been deployed in Niger Delta.

They are planning to use the Leaders of MEND to penetrate the creeks. Their only fear now is that IRAN and Russia are behind the Niger Delta Avengers.

They have also contacted Jonathan trying to make him sign an agreement that will further enslave the Niger Deltans but Jonathan refused. So Baba is very angry with Jona and will do everything possible to silence the Niger Delta Avengers.

As am typing now, Niger Delta has been rounded up militarily. Magnus Abe, Rotimi Amaechi, APC chairman and the leaders of MEND are in the master plan.

As for Biafrans, you people are very lucky. Buhari and my Northern Elders knew that Nnamdi Kanu has already created the awareness for you people.

So they are planning now to cut South South out of Biafra so that only the five Eastern states can go with their Biafra. Nnamdi Kanu will soon be released but they want to perfect the exclusion of South South from your Biafra.

*We know that one Nigeria is just because of Oil.* Wallahi, had it been we were the ones with the oil, Nigeria would have divided since.

Please let your brothers not protest again because Baba will kill again. Nnamdi Kanu's release is very soon but they are just making sure Niger Delta is cut off from your proposed Biafra.

You people should not think that there will be anything like 2019 election, Baba will use Biafra issue as an excuse to postpone the election.

South East has already been declared as Biafra, so don't expect any federal government project in your region. You have been written off already.

My advice is that you should continue to create awareness both nationally and internationally. Don't relent even though Biafra is very close.

You will get BIAFRA INSHA ALLAH
[9/14, 18:20] Pst Grace 3: As it stands today, the Islamic religion is the fastest
growing religion per capita in the United States, especially amongst the minority races!!

Last month I attended my annual training session that's required for maintaining my state prison security clearance. During the training session, there was presentations by three speakers representing the Roman Catholic, Protestant and Muslim who each explained their beliefs.

I was particularly interested in what the Islamic had to say. So, the Muslim gave a great presentation of the basics of Islam, complete with a video. After the presentations, time was provided for questions and answers.
When it was my turn, I directed my question to the Muslim and asked:

'Please, correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand that most Imams and clerics of Islam have declared a holy jihad [Holy war] against the
infidels of the world and, that by killing an infidel, (which is a command to all Muslims) they are assured of a place in heaven. If that's the case, can you give me the definition of an infidel?'

There was no disagreement with my statements and, without hesitation,
he replied, 'Non-believers!'

I then responded. So, let me make sure I have this straight ie. All followers of Allah have been commanded to kill everyone who is not of your faith so they can have a place in heaven. Is that correct?'

The expression on his face changed from one of authority and command to that of a little boy who had just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. 'He sheepishly replied, 'Yes.'

I then stated, 'Well, sir, I have a real problem trying to imagine the Pope can command all Catholics to kill those of your faith or in addition, Dr Stanley ordering all Protestants to do the same in order to guarantee them a place in heaven!'

The Muslim was speechless!

I continued, 'I also have a problem with being your friend when you and your
brother clerics are telling your followers to kill me!

Let me ask you a question:

Would you rather have your Allah, who tells you to kill me in order for you to go to
heaven, or my Jesus who tells me to love you because I am going to heaven and He wants you to be there with me too?'
You could have heard a pin drop as the Imam hung his head in shame.

Needless to say, the organizers or promoters of the 'Diversification' training seminar were not happy with my way of dealing with the Islamic Imam, and exposing the naked truth about the evil in Muslims' beliefs.

Therefore, the way things are going now in the next 10 years there will be enough Muslim voters in the U.S. to elect the President!
Enough Muslim voters in the UK to vote in the Prime Minister. In fact, by 2019 when Boko Haram had finished their depopulation of Christians in Nigeria, there may be no Christian candidates to stand for elective post in the next 5 years.
Think about your children's world. I think everyone in the WORLD!!! should be required to read this, but with the careless attitude of most believers, there is no way this will be widely publicized, unless each of us sends it to relations and friends! This is your chance to make a difference...

Please, for Christ's sake, pass it on! Thanks.

GOV. WILLIE OBIANO ACKNOWLEDGES RECESSION AND ABOLISHES MEAGRE TAXES

A Special Broadcast on the Economic Stimulus Package by the Government of Anambra State on Tuesday, September 20, 2016

Ndi Anambra, ekenem unu!

Following the formal announcement by the Federal Government that the nation’s economy has gone into a RECESSION, I consider it my duty as your Governor to distil the message of the economic situation of the country down to the grassroots. However, following this development too, I am happy to announce to you that I have come up with a Stimulus Package that will ease the pain of the recession and help our dear state bounce back to prosperity.

Ndi Anambra, before I unfold my Stimulus Package to you, I want to assure you that the government of Anambra State is fully aware of the difficulties you are going through in your families, in your businesses and in your various communities. I wish to assure you that you are not alone! My brothers and sisters, I feel your pain! Biko, unu ebezina maka na agu nwelu nchekwube anaghi egbu. Anyi nwelu olile anya! Oga adikwanu nma!

Brothers and sisters, our country’s painful journey into the current recession is fairly known to us. The events that triggered this decline are very well documented in the public domain. So, I will not go through the details of how we arrived where we are. Ndi Anambra, I wish to assure you that after a careful study of the situation, I am more convinced now than ever before that with our fundamentals, our infinite capacity to come back from deficits and our implicit faith in God, our story should be different in Anambra State.

Consequently, our intervention comes in Four Key Areas-

1) Tax Relief Programme,

2) Special Intervention Programmes for Small and Medium
Enterprises, MSMEs and Large Enterprises,

3) Social Intervention Programme for Low Income Households and finally;

4) Intervention in Infrastructure-for-Jobs

The objective of our Tax Relief Programme is to evaluate existing taxes, levies and fees in the state and introduce some waivers and in some cases scrap the collection of some illegal levies imposed on our people. I believe that these will go a long way to cushioning the impact of the recession on households in the state. Our immediate
response in this regard is as follows:

1. I hereby suspend the sale of consolidated emblems in Anambra State

2. I suspend the collection of Hawkers Permit on all streets in the state

3. I suspend the collection of Wheelbarrow Tax in all markets in the state

4. Lastly, I abolish the imposition of unapproved levies on students in public primary and secondary schools in the state.

All these pronouncements shall take immediate effect.

Next is the Special Intervention Programme for Small and Medium Enterprises, MSMEs and Large Enterprises

Ndi Anambra, this sector of the economy accounts for over 800,000 jobs in Anambra State today. These businesses are suffering from the acute drop in the supply of Foreign Exchange at the moment and are left with two options; scale down their operations or shut down completely.

Ndi b’anyi, my role as your Governor is to envisage challenges and provide solutions that will ensure a speedy comeback from difficult situations that require the power and might of a state government. This is what my administration has done in the past two years through ASBA, Anambra Small Business Agency. This Agency is a very important institution that I created to serve as a catalyst to our domestic economy. So far, ASBA has effectively distributed the sum of N1.5bn as start-up capital to many SMEs and MSMEs in Anambra State. These funds are part of the N2bn that the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) made available to states about two years ago to help stimulate local entrepreneurship across the country.

Anambra Small Business Agency, ASBA was set up with credible manpower and a strategic focus on the productive sectors.I must thank the CBN for demonstrating a great foresight with that credit scheme and I hope that when we knock on their door again soon, it shall be opened onto us since Anambra has managed the last drawdown well through ASBA.

Ndi Anambra, although it may not be known to many people, the truth is that the famous Anambra Rice owes its growth to our intervention through ASBA. So many other manufacturers have also benefitted from this initiative. Therefore, arising from the highly visible success recorded by ASBA, we shall carry out the following policies to provide relief to the productive sectors and stimulate the domestic economy -

1. We shall provide ASBA with a minimum of N3 billion to lend to SMEs and MSMEs at 9% interest rate across key sectors.

2. We shall re-channel earlier accessed Bank of Industry, Bank of Agriculture and Commercial Agriculture Credit Scheme funds totalling to about N1.5 billion to support this sector. ASBA will handle it as usual and rigorously follow the standard modalities.

3. We shall fast-track the roll-out of the CBN Anchor Borrowers Program in our state to support SME/MSMEs in the agricultural sector.

At the same time, we have since commenced consultations with the business community in the state and will soon hold an interactive session with the Awka, Nnewi and Onitsha Chambers of Commerce as well as the state chapter of the Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN). This will enable us understand their most pressing needs in order to make a strong case on their behalf to the Presidency and other relevant authorities.

The next stimulus initiative is the Social Intervention Programme for Low Income Households and the most vulnerable populations of the state.

Our intervention in this area is broken down into two components. The first component shows what we have already done to ease the pain of the recession while the second segment outlines what we shall quickly do to consolidate on our recent efforts so far.

Now, here are the things we have done to mitigate the impact of the Recession in Anambra State in Low income Households and the most
vulnerable groups –

· We have employed 500 persons into various positions in primary health centres across the state

· We have engaged 300 road sweepers to keep our cities clean and 250 youths to rid our roads of potholes in our zero pothole programme

· We also employed 300 youths into Operation Clean and Healthy Anambra ,OCHA brigade to support our enforcement drive

· We made tuition fees in 11 vocational colleges free in the state to ensure that more youths acquire the necessary skills for
survival

· Similarly, we have also lowered Okada and Keke levies to N50 and N200 daily respectively
to cushion the effect of recession and subject to the completion of the registration exercise with the Ministry of Road, Rail and Water Transportation we are seriously considering a waiver for this segment of the low income group.

Now that I have shared what we have done so far to minimize the impact of the recession on our people, I shall go ahead to unfold what we plan to do to deepen our intervention in this segment of the
population -

1. We shall provide sum of N3.6 billion to fund our on-going N20 million choose-your-project community program in all the 179 communities in the State. Each community has been allocated N20 million to spend on their most pressing concern. The projects will also be executed by the community and strictly supervised by the State’s Tenders Board and the community members in line with best practice.

2. We shall provide automatic employment to all graduates from universities in Anambra State that are living with disabilities into the State Civil Service. The aim of this initiative is to encourage all our brothers and sisters living with disabilities to embrace education as the key to a better life.

3. We shall work closely with the United Nations Development Programme to provide Training and empowerment programmes for the uneducated physically disabled members of our society.

4. We shall intensify efforts to tap into the numerous social programs at the World Bank, such as Community Social and Development Programmes, Youth Employment and Social Support Operation and the
Rural Access Mobility Programme.

5. Lastly, we have aggressively keyed into all the social investment programmes available at the Federal Government, mainly the Home Grown School Feeding and the Conditional Cash Transfer Programmes. Working closely with the FG, we hope to commence these
programmes in the next two months.

The last of our Economic Stimulus initiative is to sustain our On-going Intervention in Infrastructure (for-Jobs)

Ndi Anambra, experience has shown that investing in infrastructure is one of the most effective ways of breathing life into an economy in recession. It has a direct multiplier effect on job creation and reduces the level of hopelessness and desperation in many households. My strategy in this regard will be guided by prioritizing and identifying projects with huge economic impact. Here are some of the initiatives I have mapped out under this heading:

1) We shall fund the development of 500 hectares of land in all agrarian communities across the three Senatorial Zones in the state to support out-grower schemes and link them up to big industries in the state. For example, next year, Delfarm Songhai Ltd will commence the supply of sorghum that is produced in Igbariam to Intafact Breweries
Ltd in Onitsha.

2) Having trained 250 youths at our School of Agriculture in Mbakwu, we shall fund three Youth Empowerment Schemes in fish farming, garri and rice processing clusters in the State. We have earmarked the sum of
N225m for that.

3) We have also earmarked the sum of N300m to be distributed to stimulate Vegetable Production in the state and enhance our highly popular Vegetables-Export Programme to the UK and other parts of the world.

4) We shall fund the construction of strategic roads and infrastructure projects with high economic and social impact across the State once the rains stop.

5) We shall leverage development partnerships and Federal Government funding for intervention in education and healthcare infrastructure.

6) And last but not the least we plan to attract reputable and serious investors to partner with the State on viable infrastructure projects that will boost economic activities in the state.

Ndi Anambra, we have carefully thought through these projects and set aside funds for these initiatives. I believe that these initiatives will stimulate economic activity across all nooks and crannies of the
state.

In conclusion, Umunnem, it is important for us to realise that Nigeria’s economy is on the crossroads. We must move quickly and come together to pull ourselves back from the brinks before it is too late.
I have never been surer of the capacity of Anambra State to shrug off the current recession and use the opportunity it has provided to
leapfrog into Nigeria’s frontline state.

Ndi Anambra we have the manpower, the material resources and the
willpower to turn the looming despair and desperation to hope and
prosperity.

Umunnem, Ndigbo si na onye kwe chi ya ekwelu. Anyi ekwelugo na Anambra
ga adi nma!

Dalunu!
