SUPER EAGLES ARRIVE AS ABUJA CAMP OPENS

Nigeria stars have already started arriving in their Abuja camp ahead of Saturday's massive World Cup qualifying clash with Algeria in Uyo.

Among the early birds are Zambia slayers Alex Iwobi of London giants Arsenal and Kelechi Iheanacho Manchester City.

The English Premier League duo have been joined by Turkey-based right-back Musa Mohammed. The majority of the 23 players invited for the game are expected in camp today.

The team will train twice daily in the Nigerian capital before flying out to Uyo on Thursday for the final round of preparations before the game in the same southern Nigerian city.

The Algerians are also expected in Uyo on Thursday aboard a chartered flight.

Nigeria lead Algeria by two points after the first round of games, having beaten Zambia 1:2 away, while the Algerians drew 1:1 at home to Cameroon. A win for the Super Eagles will see them pull five points clear of the Desert Foxes.
