FANS REACT AS MICHAEL EMENALO IS SET TO LEAVE CHELSEA

Stamford Bridge faithfuls have reacted to the emerging news of the likely departure of the club's football director Michael Emenalo.

The former Nigerian international's position at the club is reportedly threatened following news of Antonio Conte's desire to work with former Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini who is believed to have held talks with the Blues' hierarchy.

Reports say the way in which Jose Mourinho’s sacking was carried out, with Emanelo reckoned to have betrayed the Portuguese, left a bitter taste in the mouth of many Blues followers.

A cross section of the fans who want to see Emenalo dismissed took to twitter to after the news to express their desire to see the back of the 51-year old football administrator.

Emenalo joined Chelsea when former manager Avram Grant took in charge in 2007. After the departure of Ray Wilkins, the fomer Maccabi Tel Aviv star who has 14 caps for Nigeria was promoted from his position as chief scout to assistant first team coach in 2010 and was named Chelsea's Technical Director eight months later.

The Nigerian whose responsibilities included heading the scouting and academy programs in 2013 formally requested that his contract be terminated to facilitate the return of José Mourinho -a request that was reportedly denied by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovic.
