NIGERIA @56, THE BITTER TRUTH.

NIGERIA @56 !
Very much as usual, Nigeria this year "2016" is celebrating her independence. The year deemed national for the acquisition of her freedom from her colonial masters. But then, the question is, 'how far?' Are we progressing or regressing? Ever since her independence, Nigeria have struggled to compete with other countries of the world; in terms of development. To brief it, politically, economically, socially, religiously, health etc, Nigeria is still backward as no sector is out of the woes bedeviling them.
POLITICALLY :
- Politically, progression is out of question as there are too much political woes. In terms of quality of leadership? Men of questionable character have occupied the political system. No one political gladiator can claim a nobleman. Thus, since there is no quality of leadership, the political system still finds a comfortable place in deterioration.
 ELECTION :
 - One would have proclaimed in 1993 that by the year 2016 Nigeria would /can conduct a free, fair and peaceful election. But then the quest for peaceful election is out of date. Because @56, Nigeria still lacks credible electoral body, noble politicians, constant political interference. Even in elections conducted so far in some parts of the country this year were still married with a very vehement violence, rigging, impunity, political interference. Etc.
FUNCTIONAL GOVERNMENT :
  - In respect to this, Nigeria @56 cannot boast of just one level/body with absolute performance. But then instead of governments in Nigeria to perform its function/duty to the state, rather they had resolved to worsen the condition of her citizens.
 DIVIDENDS OF DEMOCRACY :
  - How has it augured well with Nigeria @56? The usual government that is of the people and for the people has never been so in Nigeria. Nigeria is a political ground where her citizens' opinions are not valued, where the needs, feelings and the people themselves are never respected. @56 Nigeria is a country where government takes reckless actions without the people's considering the actions they are meant to serve. @56, her citizens die in their numbers and properties destroyed as a result of immoral actions of her governments. ECONOMIC SECTOR :
What about her economic sector, how well? Nigeria @56 is still in economic boredom, with much mishaps and doom bewitching the nation.
 EMPLOYMENT?
Zero ! No jobs for her citizens. With countless job seekers growing in their numbers and more and more crime being perpetuated because of idleness.
 NAIRA?
The naira value is falling every minutes of the day @56. Presently her dollar to naira value is #480 per 1dollar... The petroleum sector @56 is nothing to write home about; inflation in the price of petrol, inflation in the price of kerosene, inflation in the price of gas. Etc... Today in the history of Nigeria is Recession. Nigeria @56 are they still the giant of Africa? Giant of Africa with the worst economy--no food, no water, no light. Agriculturally backward. Yet we proclaim 'Agriculture is our culture'. What an Irony!

DEVELOPMENT AND INFRASTRUCTURE --
We live in a country where leaders apportion blames to their predecessors with little or nothing to showcase in their leadership role. Nigeria provides some west African countries with electricity but @56, the country has nothing to boast of in terms of power supply; no light in the urban areas, no light in the rural areas. No social amenities @56, no good roads @56, no pipe-borne water @56. Just nothing to show for @56.
 RELIGIOUS SECTOR :
-- Worship centres are swelling up in their numbers but then what characterised is sin everywhere. Nigeria @56 the growing number of worship centres represent the growing number of evils, why? The question of true worshippers becomes the order of the day. Religious extremism (where one religion is killing the other yet the government is so cold over it) @56.
  EDUCATION:
-- The educational sector @56 is a no go area. Day by day the quality of education is dwindling instead of growing. The condition of primary education @56 is poor, the condition of secondary Education is getting worst @56. @56 the condition of university education is at the peak of collapse. No man of nobility in the educational sector, constant political interference and then the relegation of the educational sector to a slavery status by the state /government... @56 strike actions in the higher institutions are like a program offered in the university. @56 teachers no salary. The Minister of Education (National) is Dr., While the Minister of Education for state is "Prof." Presently,no Nigeria university is ranked among the top 10 in Africa.
   HEALTH SECTOR
The health, no n ! No improvement in the condition of workers, no improvement in terms of facilities, no improvement in terms of medication, @56 Nigeria's health sector is shattered.
  SPORTS ?
Whaoh! Sports in the country @56 is a no go area. Embezzlement of fund, sentiment, men of questionable character. A lot of them. Tribalism, we should ask ourselves where our Golden Eaglets are and other national football teams. What is Nigeria's position in the latest FIFA ranking ?
  SECURITY?
-- Nigeria @56 is battling with serious insecurity... The activities Of boko Haram, The operations of fulani herdsmen, the actions of militants. @56 kidnapping, @56 killings and the rest of them.
  WHAT REALLY HAS GONE WRONG?
The political sector is a mishap, the economic sector is in shamble . The religious sector' brouhaha, health sector, Sports, all in shamble. Corruption here and there. People are corrupt, those fighting corruption are corrupt too... It appears that @56 no human of noble character is in Nigeria. This time, the government of the federation, the states government and local governments will appear to tell us that @56 Nigeria has achieved a lot but then who are we deceiving? Others or ourselves? I think it's time we begin to tell ourselves the truth That even @56 Nigeria is immature & deceitful . Before we can now talk of a way out... Be it bitter or not the truth must be told.
  Nigeria @56 is not working.
 NIGERIA@56.
