Constructively, I will like to prove to the world how the IGBOS deliberately becomes the bone of contention or talks of all and sundry when it comes to been greedy. I agree as a matter of fact that greed is in the blood of every IGBOS be it Igbo of agbo, ogwashi, ukwuani ,or igbos of owerri, lkwerre, umuahia etc. But the fact still remains that the IGBOS are highly industrious and prosperous. But wat then becomes of the GREEDY NATURE which lays strong desire for more wealth, and power. In no doubt it fits the Igbo desire to possess their possession.
Bringing to the table other major tribe in NIGERIA being the YORUBA'S an HAUSAS who always use the term "Igbos are greedy". Have they really ask why?.
Some of the reasons are the HAUSAS/FULANIS who has been in power for over 40yrs and became power-drunk amounting to attitude of born to rule syndrome which they never made any positive advancement.
In the 70s, Crude oil boom manifested in NIGERIA but the beneficiaries are the YORUBAS/HAUSAS, why the IGBOS are left to struggle for survival in the wake of the just concluded ruins of lost war (1967-1970). All leaders ranging from Gowon, Obasanjo, Buhari, Babagida, Abacha to Abdulsalam. Looted Billions of dollars through their coffers to foreign land, nobody dares question their activities. But the IGBOS pays the price of been greedy.
The crude oil wells discovered in BIAFRAN LAND was shared among the northerners and Westerners of NIGERIA as a payment for the war they fought and territory been conquered. They controlled the oil rich territory for almost 50yrs leaving the oil rich with nothing or less development while Lagos ,abuja and kano took all the modern developmental facilities. (Note northerners can not and will never develop your region) But the IGBOS keep paying the price of been greedy.
Almost 90% of top ranking officers and generals of ARMY, CUSTOMS, NAVY, NDEA, IMMIGRATION, CIVIL DEFENCE ETC. Are dominated mostly by the HAUSAS/FULANIS AND YORUBAS without reasons of judgement while the old eastern region receives minor post as field Marshall and service men. But the IGBOS normally pays the price of the greedy nature.
What about the bureau exchange. Have you care to ask yourself why are the HAUSAS involved so deeply in the exchange of dollars, euro, pounds etc in the country. Try find out as We always pay the price of been greedy.
It is quite obvious that NIGERIA as a country has witness a lot of shot coming in the hands of these northerners and westerners, controlling 90%of the countries economy. My cousin CHIGBO who for many yrs struggled with passion to enroll himself into the Nigerian army ended up becoming an importer of goods through the shores of China, Dubai and Hong KONG. It never ended there, after a yr of struggling in the biz of importation, the formidable customs occupied by the HAUSAS/FULANIS in YORUBA LAND (Lagos seaport) began their routine seizure of their container goods. The question we all fail to ask is were are those seized goods been taking to. Some unreasonable and senseless IGBOS follows the HAUSA/YORUBA to tag us greedy fellows. They say HAUSAS products are cheap while the IGBOS products are very expensive. Una see d scenerio. Have you notice any FULANI/HAUSA involved in importing shoes, clothes, jeans etc? but outnumber of them sale these product cheaply than expected. #IGBOSTHINK. As we remain the most greedy people in the planet
In terms of recruitment in the force, they measure us as minority while they are majority, meanwhile taking the key position in all ramifications disregarding the procedure process. But we remain the most greedy.people on earth..
The hunger policy by awolowo during the civil war still prevail till this day.(not laying much enfacies on the war) The deprivation of sales of ibeto cement in NIGERIA is an act of showing not-belonging to this enclave called NIGERIA. What about the currently serial group killers called BOKO HARAM AND FULANI HERDSMEN who have been killing innocent citizens/BIAFRANS in various places of gatherings and farms respectively. The curiosity to islamize the IGBOS AND BIAFRANS which warranted to their constant brutal killings, which the security agents headed by HAUSA/FULANI fails to hit the nail as to fish out the culprint. When they complained NIGERIANS never listened, when they demanded for BIAFRA they get killed. The wickedness and inhuman act imposed on the IGBOS is unbearable and no longer be tolerated as We remain the most endangered species. I AGREE WHOLEHEARTEDLY THAT THE IGBOS ARE TRULY GREEDY IN THIS SENSE.
